On a page

Like chicken-scratch,

With a couple’

A line

Breaks.

Is that poetry now?

Where has the wit gone to?

And the carefully constructed form too?

And what about the meter, have you seen

Her? Oh no, I forgot, this is poetry

Now: to that I’ll take a sheepish bow.
